Terms & Conditions

Bookings

  • All bookings are taken subject to availability
  • Our booking office is open Monday to Saunday  11am to 11pm
  • Our DriveMyCarHome Service Operating hours are Monday to Saturday: 11am to 2am, Sunday 11am to 11pm 
  • Any bookings required for the same day should be made by phone 
  • Any enquiries received will be replied to as soon as possible. Any telephone messages, emails or online enquiries received outside of operating hours will be responded to the following morning

Conditions

  • All DriveMyCarHome.co.uk drivers are only insured under our company insurance when the services are booked through our company DriveMyCarHome.co.uk Ltd website and our offical booking line 0116 2986444 and no other means.
  • The chauffeur will meet you at the location of where the car is parked at the specified time.
  • Our drivers will only wait 10 minutes at the arranged pick up point, if customers do not arrive within this time full cancellation charges apply.
  • It is the customers’ responsibility to ensure the car is in a fit condition to be on a public road and meets all UK road safety regulations, for example, valid MOT, road tax, insurance etc.
  • It is the customers’ responsibility to ensure the car has enough fuel for the journey required.
  • It is the customers’ responsibility to ensure the car has the appropriate number of seating for any additional passengers travelling with the customer and the DriveMyCarHome.co.uk chauffeur.
  • It is the customers’ responsibility to ensure that the car boot is clear and has sufficient space to fit the folded moped into the boot. The car will require a minimum boot space of:
  • 95cm(L) x 45cm(D) x 55cm(H); or    (draw shapes to show visuals)
  • 96cm(L) x 55cm(D) x 45cm(H) (draw shapes to show visuals)
  • For example, the folded moped will fit into a small boot such as a Ford Fiesta, However, with small cars like Ford Fiesta’s, one of the back passenger seats will be required to place one of the bags on. All motor bike parts are placed in CLEAN PROTECTIVE BAGS
  • If there is insufficient space in the boot, it is at the customers’ liability to place the folding bike on the rear car seats.
  • If all the disconnected motorbike parts do not fit in the car boot, the largest part will be placed in the car boot and one or two parts will be placed on the back seat or the floor. Please note that all the parts are placed inside PROTECTIVE BAGS to keep any dirt, etc inside the bags.
  • The boot space must be totally empty with no other personal items in the boot. If the moped is to be placed inside the boot with the personal belongings, we will not be liable for any damages.
  • Any customer making any threats (physical or verbal) or any anti social behaviour towards our chauffeurs will be reported to the Police.
  • DriveMyCarHome.co.uk and chauffeurs reserve the right to refuse, cancel or terminate a booking at anytime at their sole discretion if it’s required.
  • Our mopeds are maintained to very high standards and every effort will be made to meet customers at the required time. However, in the unfortunate event of situations which are beyond our control (for example, breakdown, traffic jams, road works, extreme weather conditions, etc) we cannot be held responsible and not liable for any loss due to delays the caused.

Payments & Charges

  • All routes and mileage charged are calculated by the mileage shown using ‘Google Maps’.
  • Price, if the service is booked 2 hours or more in advance
  • 1 to 5 miles: £18 Minimum Fare + £3 per mile thereafter
  • Price If the service is booked within 2 hours
  • 1 to 5 miles: £23 Minimum Fare + £3 per mile thereafter

Surcharge

  • Minumum of £5 surcharge – may be applied if the pick up or drop off point is outside of a 4 mile radius of Leicester Train Station.
  • All payments should be made by cash to the chauffeur
  • Any additional customer drop-off points not pre-arranged at the time of booking will be carried out by the drivers’ discretion as this may have impact on any bookings immeditely after. Any NONE pre-arranged drop offs, will incur an additional charge of £5 per mile.

Waiting Time Charges

Our drivers will only wait 10 minutes at the arranged pick up point, if customers do not arrive within this time, full cancellation charges apply. The chauffeur will meet you at the location of where the car is parked. After our chauffeur arrives at your location at the specified time, the first 5 minutes waiting time is FREE. Thereafter, there is a charge of £2.50 for every additional 5 minutes of waiting time.

Where the service is delivered by using one of our pool cars, the  first 5 minutes waiting time is FREE.
Thereafter, there is a waiting charge of £5.00 for every additional 5 minutes of waiting time.

If you are delayed more than 5 minutes after your booking time, the chauffeur may be delayed at their next booking (which may be you next time). And so, the chauffeur may wait as long as possible without being late for their next booking. Please note , if you fail to show next to your car at the agreed specified time or within time for the driver to get to their next booking,  your booking will be cancelled and a full cancellation charges apply

Cancellation Charges – (service inside Leicestershire)

  • Please provide any booking changes at the earliest opportunity. Any changes are subject to availability
  • No cancellation charges apply if changes are made 12 hours or more prior pick up time
  • If cancellation is between 12 to 6 hours prior pick up time. A cancellation charge of £20 applies or 50% of the fare applies(whichever is higher)
  • If cancellation is less than 6 hours prior pick up time, a cancellation charge of the full fare applies.
  • If there is insufficient space to fit the folded moped into the car boot or at the customers’ liability on the rear car seats, full cancellation charges will apply (i.e. full cost of the fare)

Cancellation Charges – (service outside Leicestershire)

  • Please provide any booking changes at the earliest opportunity. Any changes are subject to availability
  • No cancellation charges apply if changes are made 3 days or more prior pick up time
  • If cancellation is between 72 hours & 48 hours prior pick up time. A cancellation charge of 50% of the fare applies
  • If cancellation is less than 48 hours prior pick up time, a cancellation charge of the full fare applies.
  • If there is insufficient space to fit the folded moped into the car boot or at the customers’ liability on the rear car seats, full cancellation charges will apply (i.e. full cost of the fare)

Changes Once Bookings Are Made

We will try to accommodate you with any changes to your original booking, however , once bookings have be made, all changes are subject to availablity and full cancellation charges apply. 

Insurance

All DriveMyCarHome.co.uk chauffeurs are FULLY COMPREHENSIVELY INSURED to drive any car up to the value of £50,000. Our insurance policy is underwritten by Lloyd’s of London.

DriveMyCarHome.co.uk will not accept any liability for damage to any vehicle unless notified to the driver at the time the service being delivered.

Service Area Covered

We predominantly cover the Leicestershire area for the DriveMyCarHome service. Should you require the service outside of Leicestershire, please contact us, as these will need to be scheduled in advance. For example, we have provided the DriveMyCarHome service for customers where the pick has been in Leicester and the drop off has been in one of the connecting Counties and vice verse (i.e Nottingham, Derbyshire, etc).

Service Outside of Leicestershire

We do provide a DriveMyCarHome service or a Chauffeur Driver Hire service outside of Leicestershire. Prices are provided on enquiry. For example, even though we are based in Leicester, we have driven clients from:    

  • Leicester to Birmingham
  • Nottingham to Leicester
  • Liverpool to London and back again
  • Grimsby to Hull
  • and many more

No Smoking Policy

Government ‘anti-smoking legislation’ deems a customer’s car as our chauffeur driver’s place of work (for the duration of the journey). Smoking is therefore strictly prohibited in any part of the vehicle.

DATA Protection

Under no circumstances do we pass your information to any 3rd parties outside of our organisation.

DriveMyCarHome.co.uk Ltd reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at anytime without prior notice. Any such changes will appear on our web site.
